I always love some Basil Wolverton, especially his horror stuff. A shame that monster from the opening panel has nothing to do with the story, he's pretty bad ass.

I've always loved Wolverton. His style is deceptively simple yet has such a depth you don't see in other comic illustrations, they almost seem like reliefs.

Swamp Monster was the first Wolverton comic i ever read, translated in one of the very first issues of Spain's El Vibora.

It changed my life.
